What Is It?

The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) is the UK’s largest management body, combining industry-leading qualifications and specialist member services. The ILM Level 5 award in Leadership and Management is an industry recognised qualification and roughly equates to The second year of an under-graduate degree, Diploma of Higher Education, HNDs, BTEC Professional Diplomas, Certificates and Awards, We are able to deliver this course in partnership with Leeds Beckett University.

Who's it For?

The qualification is ideally suited to Department Heads and other practising Middle Managers and Leaders. It’s also suited to practising Team Leaders seeking to move up to the next level of Management, improve performance and prepare for further Management responsibilities.

How is it delivered & what do you get?

The ILM Level 5 Award is an accredited course, delivered through a combination of classroom, work based learning and Delegates’ own reflective workbooks. The units we cover on this course are:

Developing and Leading Teams to Achieve Organisational Goals & Objectives

Leading Innovation and Change

Managing Projects in the Organisation (unassessed unit)

Results For Delegates:

Use core management techniques to drive better results

Develop ability to lead, motivate and inspire

Understand strategic leadership as well as day-to-day management

Benchmark and enhance current Leadership and Management skills

Impact for Employers:

Encourage strategic thinking at this level of management, to foster business improvement

Engage middle managers with training and development – this qualification is designed to provide clear, measurable benefits to career-minded professionals

Assessments aligned to delegates’ own work practices and applicable in the work place.

Duration & Course Details

This course takes place over 4 separate days, each of them delivered a month apart. This allows delegates to put their learning into practice within the workplace, and makes sure they have a clear understanding of the learning before moving on to the next session.

Payment Terms

The usual cost for this course is £1095 + vat per delegate.

A deposit of £50 per person must be made at the time of booking. Payment must be made in full no later than 5 working days prior to the course start date.

Delegates can transfer a place on a course to a substitute free of charge up to 5 working days prior to the course start date by emailing Kelsey@dkb-training.co.uk

Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to kelsey@dkb-training.co.uk. The following charges for cancellations apply:

Less than 5 working days = 100% of costs apply
6-10 working days = 50% of costs apply
11+ working days = no charges apply
